SFERS Board Reelects A.J. Thomas and Leona Bridges as President and Vice President

At the May 13, 2026, Board meeting, San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (SFERS) Board members reelected Commissioner A.J. Thomas and Leona Bridges to serve a second term as President and Vice President, respectively.

Commissioner Thomas is an elected member of the Retirement Board and is a Contract Compliance Officer on the CityBuild team with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development. He is also an elected member-delegate with IFPTE Local 21, and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, College of the Law.

Commissioner Bridges is an appointed member of the Retirement Board and was a Managing Director at Barclays and a former Director for the Municipal Transportation Agency. She holds an MBA from Golden Gate University Ageno School of Business.

Commissioners Thomas and Bridges will serve as Retirement Board officers through June 2027.
