Joseph D. Driscoll, CFA

Joe Driscoll began his career with the San Francisco Fire Department in 1974 and retired as a Fire Captain after serving more than four decades.

Before election to the SFERS Retirement Board in 1987, Joe worked in several union officer positions with the Fire Fighters Local 798, IAFF AFL-CIO. Joe also served in the US Army Reserve until 2003.  All of this experience has helped him as trustee, work closely with fellow trustees and fiduciaries on overseeing the Retirement System’s benefits and investments matters on behalf of the active and retired members of SFERS.

In his spare time, Joe coaches soccer and Little League Baseball with his four children and at the schools he attended growing up in San Francisco.

Joe earned his BA and MBA in local universities and received his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.
