Commissioner Thomas replaces Al Casciato, who vacated his seat in February 2022 after a five-year term. Commissioner Thomas is a Contract Compliance Officer with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). Before arriving at OEWD, he worked in insurance, banking, finance, and even as a barista! Commissioner Thomas is also a member of and served in leadership positions for the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 21.
