Commissioner O’Connor is a Lieutenant in the San Francisco Police Department and replaces Brian Stansbury, who served on the Retirement Board for 10 years.
Commissioner O’Connor began his career with the San Francisco Police Department in 2005. He comes from a family with a strong history of civil service in San Francisco, going back nearly a century, and strongly believes in representing the best interests of both active and retired SFERS members.
Commissioner O’Connor earned a BS from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, graduating in 2004. He will serve the remainder of Commissioner Stansbury’s five-year term ending February 20, 2025.
